Closing Gala – Sea Church – Sun Oct 2nd

October 2 @ 8:00 pm 9:30 pm

This show will be an absolute belter…

One of Ireland’s favourite comedians, Deirdre never strays too far from her live stand-up roots; her new show, Demented, a box-fresh hour of side-splitting laughs, is touring Ireland and the UK in 2022.

A six-time Irish Film and Television Awards (IFTA) nominee, Deirdre was awarded Best Lead Actress (Film) 2015 for her role as Christina Noble.

“O’Kane quickly sets up a rhythm of her own and when she exits, applause follows her all the way down the street.” – The Scotsman

“O’Kane is an instantly charismatic stage presence and her brand of day-to-day anarchism stormed the place.” – Three Weeks

“O’Kane dazzles the audience from start to finish.” – The List

“Unique star quality.” – The Guardian

“She won the audience over from the moment she opened her mouth.” – Metro

Hailing from ‘The Rebel County’ (That’s Cork for anyone outside Ireland!), Chris gave up the day job as an electrician, to pursue his calling in comedy. Having shared the stage with the likes of Bill Burr, Dylan Moran, David O’ Doherty, PJ Gallagher and Neil Delamare, Chris himself is en route to becoming a household name.

As an actor, he can be seen in The Young Offenders (BBC/RTÉ) and Sharon Horgan’s Women On The Verge (UKTV/ RTÉ). Other television appearances include, the RTÉ 2 panel show Next Year’s News, and The Craig Doyle Show. In the UK, he has appeared on Russell Howard’s Stand Up Centralfor Comedy Central.

Stephen Mullan, Ireland’s most exciting new comedy act, honed his craft in the club circuit in London and having recently moved home, he has already shared the stage with the likes of David O’Doherty, Colin Murphy and head writer of Saturday Night Live, Michael Che.

The summer of 2018 saw him perform in Vicar Street, at the Vodafone Comedy Festival in the Iveagh Gardens and All Together Now.

Following on from the success of his debut hour-long show ‘Son of a Preacher Man’ at the Dublin Fringe Festival 2018, he performed it again at the First Fortnight Festival 2019 to great acclaim.

The O.G queen of Irish comedy is funnier than ever since returning to stand-up after a successful turn into the world of film. She has been on fire as of late and will no doubt be a force to be reckoned with when she closes out the show in Ballycotton.
